After what seemed to be a slow and laborious week I think I’m finally getting somewhere…

Despite working Payroll I’ve lost a semblance of mathematical ability this week how did I think these blocks would match in my head??

But I am almost there with this border… look at all the bows ready to be sewn in one long strip!

So… what are your recent craft disasters?

This afternoon I’m taking a break from fabrics and delving into Christmas papercrafts… see these lovely goodies to play with?

I’ve even resurrected a kid’s classic for baking… but with a more grown up and healthy twist any guesses?

Recipe Alert… Chocolate Brownies

Time tends to go far too quickly! But there are things afoot.. changes… but more on that next week!
In meantime how about something tasty to whip up chocolate brownies anyone?

Hannah’s Quick and Easy Chocolate Brownies

Prep Time: 15-20 mins

Cook Time: 30-35 mins on 170 °C

  •  200g chocolate broken into pieces- normally brownies call for dark chocolate but hubbie prefers milk
  • 175g butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 130g plain flour
  • 325g caster sugar
  • Optional extras- walnuts, nuts, chocolate chips, chocolate buttons..
  • baking tray lined with greaseproof paper

1. Melt the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water.

2. Add the sugar to the melted mixture and stir until it is completely mixed.

3. Add the flour and mix well.

4. Add optional extras and mix well.

5. Add the eggs and mix until the consistency is thick and smooth.

6. Pour the mixture into the baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes.

7. The brownies will be ready when the top is flaky but the center soft. If the edges are crunchy it has been overcooked.
I was too busy scoffing to take a nicer picture but something like this…
