Crafty Creatives Box

Last month I’ve heard of Crafty Creatives– a company where you sign up and get a box full of crafty goodies to play with each month. Perfect I thought for random inspiration.

Cue much squeeing when this arrived….

Some of the goodies…. coloured jingle bells, vintage style alice in wonderland postcard, ribbon and more!

There was even this cute project inside a crochet mouse- which I can’t wait to attempt! Although my most recent crochet was a disaster…

Definitely worth subscribing to for me this month.. I just got to think of some things to create with it.

Work commitments and being ill has put be a little bit behind! But how is everyone?

I’ve found some more lovely tutorials for tote bags…

How about this fab reversible tote from the Eternal Maker?

Before I forget have you checked out the new website yet? Pop on over to http://www.squintessential.co.uk and share with your friends! The next few sales will receive a mini goody bag!

Bead Soup Blog Party- Reveal 3

Well the date is finally here! You might have remembered a little while ago I showed off the beads my partner Kathy of Bay Moon Design sent me? As a reminder here are some of them… (I have used some bits already before taking this photo).

The idea was to use one focal bead and the clasp in your own way. The rest of the beads are for inspiration.

Now I definitely knew I wanted to use the seaglass and silk ribbon… but how?

This one was such fun to do as I’ve not done any wire wrapping in ages! I’ve teamed it with a focal clasp from my own stash.

I am obsessed with delicate pretty bracelets and couldn’t wait to turn the focal and clasp into one! Using beads from what Kathy sent me teamed with silver plated wire and chain from my stash.

Some co-ordinating earrings using more of the amazing beads I’ve been sent.

This one is definitely my favourite! Since I saw these seaglasses I had the design of alternating them in my head and I’ve think it turned out rather well!

Ta-da… I’ve not used all of what I’ve been sent but it’s there for a rainy day and I have enough of the silk ribbon left to make a bracelet- just waiting for the right beads to call to me!

Hopefully Kathy likes what I have created. Thank you Lori Anderson for hosting this 🙂

If you would like to see what the other bead soup participants got up to- please visit their blogs below.. Enjoy!

Look what I’ve won…!

Yes really.. I won something and now I can’t say I never do.

Early July I entered Louise’s competition over on her blog. It was all I could do to contain my excitement- one of my favorite necklaces was exclusively designed for me by Louise. A gorgeous seal.

The competition was whether people prefered a plain polished finish or an oxidised finish to the fab new range.

I opted for a plain polished finish and look what I won!

Sadly my photos don’t quite do it justice but if you want to see more of this and Louise’s other ranges… pop on over to her shop. And newly opened on Etsy.

Have I converted you yet?

Another Month… More Projects and a Sewing Circle

Well, I’m sorry that I’ve not been around here much later but things been pretty hectic once again.

I have managed to do some more bits with my watercolour pencils- what do you think? And some new bits of jewellery.

Am thinking the watercolours will be turned into a fantasy card range soon 🙂

In addition this month one of my necklaces is in the Supermum’s Pop Up Marquee over on facebook- if you not been there for a browse go go go.

And… you remember that sewing circle I briefly mentioned? Well it’s set up. If you fancy being with likeminded people for chat and inspiration pop on over.
