Pooh Quilt Progress….

My Button

Well it’s been a while since I’ve shown you what I’ve been up to. Some secret things that I can’t show yet but hopefully next week! A scarf for a birthday present that I forgot to take a photo of… and this!

For the A Lovely Year of Finishes I pledged for January to finish my wonky star quilt.

I had this……

Wonky Star Quilt WIP

Which is now this…..

Pooh Wonky Star Quilt Progress

Nine blocks. I’m toying with adding some sashing in between each block to add a splash of colour but can’t quite decide what! Any ideas?

There will also be another border to add to it yet… all by this month quilted and bound ready to give away as a present on February 1st.

Now bit of a close up…

More projects… another finishalong!

So… I might be more than a little crazy! Had 1/2 day off work on Friday and what did I do? Start more projects!

In order to keep me motivated I’m linking up to Leanne’s 2013 Finish-A-Long.

she can quilt
1. Log Cabin Mini Wallhanging- four mini blocks made just need joining, border, applique, sashing, quilting and binding!
2. Kitty Mini Wallhanging- needs border, quilting and binding etc. This is a little overdue for a friend… but it’s one of my favourite blocks.
I Love Cats Wallhanging
3. Oh Deer Curtains- only 2 blocks done so a long way to go! I love the Moda Oh Deer range and couldn’t resist using the charm pack….
Oh deer curtains
So that’s it! Well apart from my huge to do list but next time I post there will be progress (really!).

Hello January 2013!

Wow is it 2013 already?

Time keeps being gobbled up quick lately! My little Christmas break and early January has comprised of frantically trying to finish some presents, family stuff, birthdays and sorting out my assignment that was due this morning. Juggling full time work and the final year of a degree is not easy and zaps me out a lot of the time but I will be making time for myself each week.

To keep me motivated I’m linking up with A Lovely Year of Finishes and entering this project…..

Wonky Star Quilt WIP

It’s going to be a wonky star quilt and has been in my ufo pile for a couple of months. 3 out of the 9 blocks are completed and the only cutting left to do is some Kona Snow squares, borders and bindings. Hopefully the finished project will look great! But my aim is to finish piecing it this month!

I’m also setting myself more goals for January…..

Think that’s more than enough for me to get on with! What about you any projects?

Fabricate… a new contemporary quilting magazine..

… and it needs your help to get started!

If you love patchwork, quilting and are after something a bit more fresh and modern then Fabricate could be for you.

Kerry of Pennydog is the driving force behind the project. I’m not going to go into the details of why and how as you can see/hear that straight from Kerry herself!

So please pop over to http://www.indiegogo.com/fabricate/x/1839761 for a read about the project and how to help!
